We have been to sooooo many churches and I almost gave up on ever finding a place we belong or felt called to be. I honestly was expecting more of the same when I arrived at Wellspring but desperately hoping it would be different.
It was different.
From your greeters to helpers, you all made us feel welcome in a very balanced way. What I mean by that is that it was genuine and not pushy or forced.
I felt the holy spirit inside the whole time. I had a “high” if you will. The only time that has ever happened to me was at my old church home in NC. Then to top that all of your message was so anointed. I do believe that children belong with their peer group but we made a family deal that the first visit to a new church they could sit with me and then every visit after that they had to go in children’s church. I have NEVER seen any adult pastor keep the attention of my children (11 & 7) like you did. They were so engaged that when I asked them what they learned they could almost repeat with detail the whole parable and how you told it. My son particularly remembers the feeding the pigs and I know it will be imprinted in his little mind and heart forever. Thank you for that!
I will be emailing Eric like you suggested to find out how to be a part of Wellspring. I am also telling everybody I know who does not go to church to come visit.
