Semester Group Leader Hub

Thank you for saying YES to leading a Semester Group at Wellspring! You are helping create a place where people can connect, grow in their faith, and take meaningful next steps.

The group leader hub gives you the ability to find everything you need to lead your group with confidence in one convenient place. Access helpful guides, forms, attendance tools, Circle Up resources, and other important downloads throughout the semester.

Leader Essentials

Semester Dates & Times

Semester: September 15 – November 2
Length: 6–8 weeks, depending on your curriculum
Group Time: 6:00–7:30 PM
Location: Wellspring Church

Your Group Night Schedule

5:15 PM — Leader Doors Open
The building and classrooms will be available beginning at 5:15 PM so you can prepare your room, organize materials, and be ready to welcome your group.

5:30 PM — Group Leader Connect
All Semester Group Leaders will meet in the Blue Room for 10 minutes before groups begin. This is an important time for us to connect, share how our groups are going, pray for one another, and prepare our hearts for the evening ahead.

5:45 PM — Doors Open for Group Members
Group members may begin arriving at 5:45 PM.

We ask that you have:

One person outside your room to welcome members and help with sign-in.
One person inside your room ready to engage people in conversation and help create a welcoming environment.

6:00–7:30 PM — Group Time

Roster & Sign-In

A printed roster will be available outside your classroom each week.

Please ask each group member to check their name when they arrive. A simple check mark is all that is needed.

This gives us a quick backup record and helps your team know who has arrived.

Taking Attendance

We ask every leader to record attendance each night.

Approximately 10 minutes before your group begins, you will receive an attendance email in your inbox with a link to take attendance online.

You can:

Have a designated team member use your phone to record attendance as people arrive, or
Quickly enter attendance immediately after your group ends.

Please make attendance a priority each week. It helps us know who is participating, notice when someone may need follow-up, and better care for the people in our groups.

Group Attendance

Communicating With Your Group

You have been added as a leader in Planning Center Groups, where you can access your Semester Group and view the roster of everyone who has registered.

Planning Center Groups can be used to email your entire group with:

Weekly reminders
Important updates
Curriculum information
Schedule changes
Encouragement throughout the week

You are also welcome to create another way for your group to stay connected, such as a group text thread, or private Facebook group, if that works well for your group.

The goal is simple: keep communication clear, consistent, and relational throughout the semester.

ONE NIGHT CIRCLE UP EXPERIENCE

It’s our hope that those who are not yet connected to a Community Group will take their next step into a weekly or bi-weekly group after their semester group experience.

We help make that transition through our One Night Circle Up Experience—a simple opportunity to show your group what it could look like to continue growing, building relationships, and doing life together beyond the semester.
