I am writing to tell you how God healed our marriage through Wellspring. In October of 2014 I determined there was nothing left in my 26 year marriage. My husband and I didn’t enjoy being around each other, the intimacy was long gone, our kids were both grown, and husband was working out of town 5 days a week. It seemed like the perfect time for us to call it quits and separate. I mentioned it to my husband, and he did not want to end it, but also didn’t want me to be miserable. We decided to put it on the back burner through the holidays and re-assess the situation after the new year. Thankfully, God had a different plan! Fast forward to Feb 2015, when Pastor Trey did the Couples Counseling series. We hung on every word, and followed thru with the homework Trey gave each week. We wanted to give our marriage one last ditch effort. We knew it was not God’s plan for us to split up, so we came to church every week expecting to hear from God and attentive to what Trey was teaching. Little by little things in our marriage began to turn around, and somewhere along the way we fell in love again. Not just with each other, but we fell in love with our marriage and all God offers through our commitment to each other, our family and our marriage. I could go on and on. We truly gush over what God has done in our marriage through Wellspring. Next week we will truly celebrate our 28th anniversary. This will be the best one yet. Thanks to Pastor Trey for his obedience in teaching the uncompromising Word of God, and for creating an environment at Wellspring where we can continually grow and strengthen our faith and our relationships.
